It begins as a calm and constructive look at how to "get out of your own way," shame, The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem, and countering negative self-talk (like in the previous episode). It was presented to me a "confession" but I see more as psychological warfare and demoralization. Scott Hambrick joined us for the discussion and called a "ritual humiliation" of all non-blue-pilled Americans. Then Scott asked: so now that we know this is how politics will work going forward, what do we do? This led to one of my favorite Un-iversity discussions to date, and from there we transition into communication strategies to reach the potentially reachable people in our personal lives, at this incredibly crucial time. PREMIUM CONTENT THIS MONTH

Here's the stellar bonus content that supporting members received this month. Please consider supporting our work at $8/mo. Our days are likely numbered on Patreon and we'd really appreciate your support. Thanks!

🚩 The Discomfort Zone (s04e03) - Good Luck! Don't Be Yourself! 🚩

Introduced as "quite possibly most annoying episode of The Discomfort Zone ever."

But do Andrew and Brett deliver?!?! You decide.

Andrew has a romantic experience and declares himself "Fit Costanza." Brett understands what Andrew is saying; he is also fit, neurotic, and has had romantic experiences in his life too.

Together they've taken the red pill, but not the whole bottle.

This is a conversation about reconciling this red pill awareness with the desire for authenticity and vulnerability when the right romantic opportunity comes along.

🚩 Let's Not Prepare Kids For A World That Sucks [Un-iversity]🚩

This conversation has a very nice crescendo. On Sunday I hosted the weekly discussion group as I sat in a parking lot in what I call a very dystopian part of Pittsburgh - in the shadow of a giant Google complex watching people wait in line for food. (I'll explain more)

It was very candid conversation about parenting struggles, largely around screen time. It eventually turns to the question "should people prepare their kids to exist in an increasingly unconscious and docile society?"

I suggest (from the observation of my surroundings) that this world and is already here, but none of "us" are really living in it. Joel joins in to encourage everyone to go beyond the first question, shift curiosity towards how to build a world that competes with the this current reality.

🚩 The Discomfort Zone (s04e02) Get Out. 🚩

Listener and friend Jay joins us again, helping us launch our new rotating TDZ format (Brett's pain point -> Andrew's pain point -> listener pain point).

It begins as a calm and constructive look at how to "get out of your own way," shame, The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem, and countering negative self-talk (like in the previous episode).

Then about half way through we discover some new elements of Jay's story, and it transforms into a fiery conversation about failed relationships, how to know when they've failed, when to get out, and how to move on.

🚩Ritual Humiliation [UN-IVERSITY]🚩

A very large group convenes to discuss the recent viral Time Magazine article called "The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election." It was presented to me a "confession" but I see more as psychological warfare and demoralization.

Several new voices and points of view here! Thanks Ben and Nick for helping make this such a great conversation.

🚩 Depraved New World [VR Headset Review] 🚩

Andrew, Brett and James try Virtual Reality. And through the new Oculus headset, you can clearly see the final descent of Western Civilization.

An important followup to our February 2020 conversation about the techno-dystopia.

I Have Fallen Behind On Posting Here

But I'm about to catch up!

Hi everyone. No excuses, but I have not been posting new content here regularly. I want to remedy this for the people who offer their support every month, and for those of you who might consider supporting my work in the future.

My concerns:

  • The Interface here does not seem ideal for presenting or consuming audio and video content. Please let me know if it's convenient for you
  • The lack of overall engagement is a result of me not spending time here, but it also makes it difficult for me justify spending more time here - an unfortunate cycle
  • A lot of my time is spent interacting with my UN-IVERSITY community, which happens on Discord, and Zoom - not here

But I want to continue planning for a successful and abundant future of content creation, and I hope Locals will be a growing part of it. So from now on I will act as if we are already thriving here, making sure that every supporting member has access to all the bonus content we create.
